The Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated, is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing scholarships to deserving high school students of Newton and Rockdale Counties pursuing higher educational pursuits attending colleges and universities across the nation.
In collaboration with Chi Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated of Covington Georgia, we continue to award the “Melanie Raiford Griggs Scholarship” to deserving young female students of Newton County.
The Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated, and Chi Tau Omega Chapter traditionally have awarded 12 scholarships to high schools in Newton and Rockdale Counties. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher to apply.
Since 2005, the Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated in partnership with Chi Tau Omega Chapter have awarded more than $265,000 to awardees.
