Mission & Vision
The Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. Our organization mission is to support educational, charitable, health and wellness, cultural, general welfare of economic and social disadvantaged community residents.
Our vision is to facilitate the building of strong and viable communities that we serve through charitable giving. We seek to empower these communities to achieve lifelong successes and improve their quality of life through human and educational resources.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to work alongside Chi Tau Omega in providing service to mankind within our community. We will provide a vehicle for accomplishing this task by raising funds to support scholarships, services and other activities. We will also provide direct service via community outreach.

Educational Enrichment:
Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation is accepting applications for the Ivy College Preparatory Institute

Through Ivy Prep, a college-prep program developed by Chi Tau Omega, Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation will prepare students in grades 6-12 to meet the academic and social challenges of college life. The Foundation will assume leadership for this youth initiative; and, provide ongoing mentoring and programming for these students.

On behalf of the Community C.A.R.E.S Foundation, Incorporated, Board of Directors, and membership, I welcome you and all viewers to our website.
The mission of Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated is to facilitate the building of strong and viable communities that we serve through charitable giving. We seek to empower these communities to achieve lifelong successes and, improve their quality of life through human development and educational resources.
The Community C.A.R.E.S. (Communicating, Advocating Reaching Everyone Through Service) Foundation, Incorporated., is a (501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Since her inaugural in 2012, Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated (CCF) in collaboration with Chi Tau Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Covington, Georgia have served the communities of Newton and Rockdale Counties.
The Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Inc. of Covington, Georgia remains empowered and committed to the successful implementation of community programs: economic empowerment, community food programs, health education (mental, brain, and emotional), advancement of youth and adult leadership development, and scholarships, as well as other beneficial and viable community programs. For such a time as this, the Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated remains visible, serving and supporting Newton and Rockdale communities.
The foundation board and membership continues to embrace and champion our theme “Connecting and Building Relationships Through Service Excellence’’ to forge partners, individuals, corporate sponsors, contributors, donors, and other foundations to help support our fundraising efforts.
With our fundraisers, your generous support and contributions will allow us to continue soaring beyond to galvanize new horizons and expand our reach to make meaningful and positive impact on our younger generations and future leaders.
All Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Incorporated fundraisers activities are Virtual as mandated by our Corporate Office of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated until further notice.

Board Members
Our Board of Directors is composed of bright, enthusiastic, energetic leaders, whose caring compassion and love to ‘serve all mankind’ is exemplary”. Collectively these women represent decades of non-profit work, financial and legal expertise, grant development, and community outreach. We are excited about working together in synergy with our communities, as indicated in our name (Community Advocating Reaching Everyone Through Service).
Global Impact:

Soles 4 Souls – we will collect gently-worn shoes monthly to assist the Soles4Souls mission to create sustainable jobs and provide relief through the distribution of shoes around the world.

Lions Club International – we will collect eyeglasses to prevent blindness, help restore eyesight, and improve eye health and eye care for millions of people around the world by donating the collected glasses to the local Lions Club.

Pillowcase Project – we will use pillowcases to make dresses for little girls that will be sent to Haiti to provide clothing for children in need.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
Given the COVID-19 challenges facing our communities, businesses, and economies around the world, all face-to-face fundraising activities scheduled for the year have been placed on hold until further notice. With COVID-19 changing the world in which we live and work, it is imperative that we follow Federal (CDC), State, and local government, to take care of our membership, partners, and supporters. This is a serious matter and we encourage everyone to be safe and stay healthy during these unprecedented times.

The Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Inc. will continue to support scholarships and programs serving Newton-Rockdale Counties through foundation contributions and donations. We will hold virtual fundraisers and will share the pertinent activity information and donation links to our website and Facebook page. All donations/contributions are tax deductible due to CCF’s 501(c) 3 status and can be made by emailing treasurer@communitycaresfdn.org.
